How to Turn Off Retweets for a Specific User

There many auto-retweeting accounts on Twitter. However, you can turn off retweets for a specific user if you don’t like their Tweets.

Launch the Twitter app. It’s the blue icon with a white bird. Login with your account, if you haven't already done so. Also, make sure that your app is up to date.

Navigate to the Twitter profile you want to mute. Use the search bar to easily find the preferred account.

Tap on the ⋮ button. You can see this icon at the top-right corner of the app. A menu panel will show up.
- On iOS, tap the gear icon.

Tap on Turn off Retweets. It will be the second option on the list.

That's it! To re-enable retweets, click on the ⋮ icon again and select the Turn on Retweets option. Done!

Login to Twitter. Go to www.twitter.com in your web browser and sign in with your account details.

Open the Twitter profile you want to mute. You can mute retweets from any account, but you can't turn off retweets from all Twitter accounts that you follow at once.

Locate the icon with three dots ( ⋯ ) from the user's profile. Click on the ⋯ icon to view the hidden menu.

Select Turn off Retweets from the drop-down menu. When you're done, the following message will pop up on your screen: “Retweets from account will no longer appear in your timeline.”

Done! If you want to re-enable retweets, click on the ⋯ icon again and select the Turn on Retweets option. That's it!
