This wikiHow teaches you how to mark a location with a red pin icon on Google Maps, using Android.

Steps

  1. 1
Open Google Maps on your Android. The Google Maps app looks like a red location pin on a tiny map icon. You can find it on your Apps menu.
  2. 2
Tap and hold a location on the map. This will mark the selected location with a red pin icon. The pinned address will show up on a pop-up panel at the bottom of your screen.
    • Alternatively, you can search an address in the Search here box at the top. Searching an address will also mark the location with a red pin.
  3. 3
Tap the MORE INFO button. This button is in the lower-left corner of your screen. It will open the pinned location's info page. Here you can view your location's photos, business hours, and transportation methods.
    • Alternatively, you can tap DIRECTIONS on the bottom-right, and figure out a way to get to this address from your current location.
