This wikiHow teaches you how to save a location to Google Maps on an Android phone or tablet.

Steps

  1. 1
Open Google Maps. It’s the icon that looks like a map typically located in the app drawer.
  2. 2
Navigate to the place you want to save. You can do this by dragging the map around with your finger, or by entering an address into the search bar.
  3. 3
Tap and hold the place. A red pin will appear at that location.
  4. 4
Tap the red pin. Additional information about that place will appear.
  5. 5
Tap Save. It’s the first icon on the left side of the screen.
  6. 6
Select a list. The lists at the bottom of the screen are different places to save your locations. Select the list that best suits the location, or choose + New List to create a new one. Your place is now saved to the selected list.
