This wikiHow teaches you how to upload and attach a video from your computer to a new Tweet, using a desktop internet browser.

Steps

  1. 1
Open Twitter in your internet browser. Type twitter.com into the address bar, and hit Enter or Return on your keyboard.
    • If you're not automatically logged in, click the Log in button on the top-right, and sign in with your username, email, or phone and your password.
  2. 2
Click the Home button. This option looks like a tiny house icon in the upper-left corner of your screen. It will open your Home feed.
  3. 3
Click What's happening at the top of your Home feed. It's a text field above the list of recent Tweets from other users. You can write up a new Tweet here.
  4. 4
Click the image icon. This button looks like a landscape image in a square icon in the lower-left corner of the new Tweet field. It will open a new dialogue box, and allow you to select an image or video from your computer.
  5. 5
Select the video you want to upload. Find the video in your files, and click it.
  6. 6
Click Open in the upload window. This will upload the selected video file, and allow you to trim it in a new pop-up window.
  7. 7
Trim your video upload. You can select what parts of the uploaded video to attach to your new Tweet in the Trim pop-up.
    • If you want to trim out the beginning or the end of your video, click and drag the blue slider's left and right ends.
    • If you want to select a different part of the video, click the blue slider's middle section, and drag it left or right.
  8. 8
Click the Done button. This will attach your trimmed video to your new Tweet.
  9. 9
Click the Tweet button. This will post your new Tweet to your profile.
