How to Create a Viber Group on Android

This wikiHow teaches you how to create and customize a Viber group chat when you’re using an Android.

Creating a Group

    Open Viber on your Android. It’s a purple chat bubble icon with a white phone receiver inside. You’ll usually find it in the app drawer.

    Tap +. It’s in a blue circle at the bottom-right corner of the screen.

    Tap NEW GROUP. This opens your contacts list.

    Tap contacts you want to add to the group.

    .     It’s at the top-right corner of the screen. The group is now created and the contacts have been added. Now you customize the group to your liking.

Customizing Your Group

    Tap ⁝. It’s at the top-right corner of the group.

    Tap Chat Info. Now you can give the group a name and customize additional features.

    Tap Name. It’s under the word “Group” near the top of the screen.

    Type a name and tap SAVE. This is how the group will appear in your chats list.

    Tap Add Icon to add a group photo or avatar. It’s in the gray square at the top-left corner of the screen. This is optional, but if you’d like to add a photo to represent the group, you can either take a new one or select one from the gallery as described on the screen.

    Tap Background to personalize the background of the group. This is also optional. You can select one of the built-in options, or tap the photo icon near the top-right corner of the screen to choose one from the gallery.

    Tap ADD ADMINS to edit the admin list. Since you just created the group, you’re the only admin. This means you can add other people to the group whenever you want. If you want to add another admin, select that person’s name from the list of group members now.[1]
