This wikiHow teaches you how to change the email address connected to your Dropbox account when you’re using an iPhone or iPad.
Steps
-
1Open Safari on your iPhone or iPad. You’ll need to access Dropbox.com in a web browser, as changing your email address isn’t possible in the app. Safari is the compass icon that’s usually on the home screen.
-
2Navigate to https://www.dropbox.com. Type the URL into the address bar and tap the Go key on the keyboard. If you’re not already logged into your Dropbox account, log in now.
-
3Scroll down and tap Desktop version. It’s a link all the way at the bottom of the page. The page will now reset and display as though you’re using a computer.
-
4Tap your profile image. It’s at the top-right corner of the screen. A menu will drop down.
-
5Tap Settings.
-
6Tap Edit next to your email address. It’s in the “Personal email” section.
-
7Enter and confirm your new email address. Type the address exactly the same into the first two boxes on the screen.
-
8Enter your password on the third line. If it’s already filled in there’s no need to make any changes.
-
9Tap Update email. Dropbox will send a verification message to the new email address. You’ll have to click the link in the email to continue the change.
-
10Open the email from Dropbox. If you don’t see it in your inbox, check the spam folder.
-
11Tap Verify your email. You’ll now be redirected to Safari, where you’ll be prompted to log into Dropbox.
-
12Enter your password and tap Sign in. Your old email address is still in the first field, but don’t worry about that. You will soon see an “email verified” screen. The next time you sign into Dropbox, use the new email address instead of the old one.
