1Get the Eon Flute. You get the Eon Flute after completing the Primal Groudon/Kyogre storyline at Sootopolis City.

2Have three Pokémon in your team with maxed effort values (EVs). Effort values are hidden points that your Pokémon receives for defeating enemy Pokémon. The more EVs you get for your Pokémon, the stronger it will be. The maximum amount of EVs a Pokémon can have is 510; with a maximum of 252 EVs being available for any given stat. 3Use the Eon Flute to summon Latios/Latias and soar into the sky.

4Soar to Pacifidlog Town, and nearby, you'll find an island called the Pathless Plain. Land on this island.

5Go through the path, and at the end, you'll find a portal. Press A to interact with it, and say yes to the given question to face either Cobalion, Terrakion, or Virizion, depending on the day. Cobalion appears on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, Terrakion appears on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and Virizion appears on Mondays and Thursdays.
