This wikiHow teaches you how to purchase and install the Windows 10 Professional upgrade on a computer running Windows 10 Home version.
Steps

1Open the Windows Settings app on your computer. Click the Windows icon on the bottom-left corner of your desktop, and select the gear icon on the menu to open your settings.

2Click Update & Security in the Windows Settings window. This menu will allow you to update your Windows software to the Professional version.

3Click the Activation button. This will allow you to see the details of your current Windows version, and update it to Professional.
- You can see your current Windows 10 version on the right-hand side of your window.

4Click the Go to Store link on the Activation menu. This will open the Windows store, and allow you to purchase the Windows 10 Professional version.
- If you've already purchased the Professional upgrade and have the product key ready, click Change product key instead of Go to Store. This will allow you to enter your product key, and update your Windows version.

5Click the $99.99 button to purchase the Professional upgrade. This will allow you to use your saved, primary method of payment to purchase Windows 10 Professional, and start the upgrade installation.
- If you don't have a saved method of payment on your account, you'll be asked to provide your payment and billing details here.
- Your primary method of payment will be charged $99.99 for this purchase.
