How to Unlink Your Facebook and Instagram Accounts on Android

This wikiHow teaches you how to unlink Facebook from your Instagram account on an Android device.

Steps

Open Instagram. It’s the purple, red, and orange camera icon typically found on your home screen. If you don't see it there, tap the Apps icon (usually 6 to 9 squares inside of a circle) to find it in the app drawer.
- If you haven’t yet signed in to Instagram, do so now.

Tap the profile icon. It’s the gray silhouette of a head and shoulders at the bottom-right corner of the screen.

Tap ⁝. It’s at the top-right corner of the screen.

Scroll down and tap Linked Accounts. It’s under the “Settings” header.

Tap the check mark next to Facebook. A pop-up will appear.

Tap Not Now.

Tap Unlink. A confirmation window will appear.

Tap Unlink again to confirm. Your Facebook account is no longer linked to Instagram.
