This wikiHow article teaches you how to allow WhatsApp to use a Wi-Fi connection only in order to save your cellular data.

Steps

  1. 1
Open your iPhone's Settings. This is the gray cog icon on your home screen that may be in a folder labeled "Utilities."
  2. 2
Scroll down and tap WhatsApp. It's in the eighth set of options.
  3. 3
Slide the "Cellular Data" button to the "off" position. It will turn white once it's off. Now WhatsApp can't use your cellular data, meaning that you'll only be able to send or receive messages over a Wi-Fi connection.
    • If your phone's language is set to British English, the button you slide will be labeled "Mobile Data."
