This wikiHow teaches you how to mute a video’s sound before sharing it to your Facebook story.
Steps

1Open Facebook. It’s a blue icon with a white “f.” You’ll typically find it on the home screen or in the app drawer.

2Tap Your Story. It’s near the top of the screen, to the right of the blue paper airplane icon. This opens the Facebook camera.

3Tap and hold the shutter to record your video. It’s the large round button at the bottom-center area of the screen. Hold the button until you’re finished recording (or until the small red circle on the screen completes a 360-degree turn).

4Tap the speaker icon. It’s at the top of the screen. An “x” will appear next to the icon, and you’ll see the words “Share without sound.”

5Tap the white circle with an arrow inside. This brings you to the Sharing screen, where you should see a check mark next to “Your Story.”

6Tap the send icon. It’s the blue rectangle with a white paper airplane inside. Your new soundless video now appears in your Facebook story.
