This wikiHow teaches you how to trigger a Pillager raid on Minecraft PE. Triggering a Pillager raid can be a challenge for players who are bored and want a chance of getting a Totem of Undying. When done right, you'll reap the rewards and a discount when trading with that village. When done wrong, a whole village can be wiped out completely and you'll either have to leave the village and kill the Pillager captain again or restart the village by curing zombie villagers.
Steps

1Get armored up. You'll want enchanted diamond armor, golden apples, an enchanted bow and an enchanted diamond sword with Sharpness I-III and Mending I.

2Find the nearest Pillager outpost. Go all the way to the top and kill the Pillager captain. You can tell the captain from the others by the banner on its head. You'll be in a for a fight from the Pillagers if you come in unprepared.
- The safest way to do this without taking much damage is picking off the nearby illagers patrolling the outpost with an enchanted bow and going in with an enchanted diamond sword and shield and killing the rest of the illagers inside.

3Wait for the impact to hit. After killing the Pillager captain, you'll be afflicted with the Bad Omen effect and will trigger a raid as soon as you step foot in a village. Be aware that this may take a while as the illagers have to spawn nearby and make their way into the village.
- Listen for the Pillager raid horn and look on the top of the screen for the purple boss bar. This is the raid health bar and will show the number of mobs left when the amount gets low enough.

4Get to the highest point in the village. Be on the lookout for hostile mobs. Do not hesitate to ring the bell in the village to get the remaining villagers in their homes.

5Kill the mobs as they come in waves/rounds. Witches, zombies, illagers, and ravagers will come in numbers.
- Check every crevice and corner for mobs that are still lurking around. They could be sneaking up on you or attempting to kill villagers.
- During the last round of the raid, look around for hexes flying around as this is a sign of a vindicator, the mob that drops the Totem of Undying.

6Finish off the remaining mobs and receive the Hero of the Village effect. This effect is exclusive to that village only and it will not be spread to other villages.
