This wikiHow teaches you how to tag someone in a WhatsApp group chat on your Android.
Steps

1Open WhatsApp. It's the green chat bubble icon with a white phone receiver in the app drawer.

2Select a group chat. If you don't see the group you're looking for, you can search for it by name. Tap the magnifying glass icon at the top of the screen, then type the group's name. You'll be able to select it from the search results.Advertisement

3Tap Type a Message. It's in the text box at the bottom of the chat.

4Tap ?123 on the keyboard. It's at the keyboard's bottom-left edge.
- If you don't see that key, look for one that says “Sym” or “@123” instead.

5Tap the @ key. A list of group members will appear.

6Select a group member. You may have to scroll down the list to find the right person. The person's name will now appear after the “@” symbol in the text box.
