This wikiHow teaches you how to prepare and ship and item you sold on OfferUp when you’re using an iPhone or iPad.
Steps
-
1Open OfferUp on your iPhone or iPad. It’s the green and white price-tag icon labeled ″OfferUp.″ You’ll usually find it on the home screen.
-
2Accept the buyer’s offer. This charges the buyer for the item and creates a shipping label. Once you accept an offer, you’ll have 6 days to ship the item. Here’s how to accept the offer:[1]
- Tap the Offers icon (the price-tag at the bottom of the screen).
- Tap the item.
- Tap the conversation with the buyer whose offer you want to accept.
- Tap View Offer.
- Tap Accept.
- If you’ve already accepted the offer, tap View Label to see the shipping label.
-
3Enter your shipping address. This is the address you're shipping the item from.[2]
- If you’ve already added an address, tap it to select it.
- To add a new address, tap Add an address, and then follow the on-screen instructions.
-
4Tap Confirm. This displays the shipping label on your iPhone or iPad.
- OfferUp will also send you an email with the shipping label attached.
-
5Print the shipping label. If you have sticker paper, load it into your printer so you can print the label and adhere it to the package. If not, you can print to regular paper—just use clear packing tape to attach it securely.
- If you’ve set up your iPhone to print wirelessly, use it to print the label now.
- If you can’t print from your iPhone or iPad, use your computer to sign in to your email, and then open the shipping message from OfferUp to access the label. Print it just as you would any other document.
-
6Prepare the item for shipment. Sellers are responsible for supplying packing materials that keep the item safe during transit. Use these best practices when packing the item:
- Use a plain box for larger items, or a padded envelope for smaller items. Black out any photos, words, old addresses, or logos on the packaging to ensure it arrives at the right place.
- Pad the item with bubble wrap, crumbled newspaper, packing foam, or other specialty packing materials to prevent it from moving during transit. Gently shake the package to make sure you don't hear the item moving.
- Use clear packing tape to secure all seams on the box or envelope.
- Affix the shipping label to the front of the box or envelope. Secure the label in place with clear packing tape, even if you printed it to sticker paper.
-
7Mail the package via the United States Postal Service (USPS). You can bring the package directly to the post office or arrange pickup service through the USPS website.
- Once the item arrives, the buyer has 3 days to report problems with the item. If no issues are reported, the payment will be sent to your account at the end of the third day.
