Using the Mobile App

    Open Facebook. It’s a blue app with a white “f,” typically found on your home screen (iPhone/iPad) or in the app drawer (Android).

    Sign in to Facebook. If prompted, enter your username and password and tap Log In.

    Navigate to the post.
    • iPhone/iPad: Tap the at the bottom right corner of the screen to view your profile, then scroll to the post you want to edit.
    • Android: Tap the icon with 4 horizontal lines at the top-right corner of the screen to view your profile, then scroll to the post you want to edit.

    Tap the downward-pointing arrow on the post. It’s at the post’s top-right corner.

    Tap Edit Post. It’s at the bottom of the menu.

    Tap Check In. The current location will appear.

    Tap X. It’s on the right corner of the current location.

    Tap Done (iPhone/iPad) or Save (Android). The post no longer has a check-in location.

    Visit https://www.facebook.com in a web browser.

    Sign in to your account. If prompted, enter your username and password into the blanks at the top-right corner of the screen, then click Log In.

    Navigate to the post you want to edit. To find it, click your name (either at the top or on the left side panel) to open your profile, then scroll down to the post.

    Click the downward-pointing arrow. It’s at the top-right corner of the post you want to edit.

    Click Edit Post.

    Click the location. It’s near the bottom of the "Edit Post" window.

    Click the x on the location. It’s to the right of the location’s name. The location will disappear.

    Click Save. The post will no longer display a location.
