This wikiHow teaches you how to request to speak in a Clubhouse room. If a room is accepting new speakers, you'll see a hand icon at the bottom of the screen. Tapping the hand adds you to the queue. Once the room's moderator or host approves your request, you'll be added to the stage.
Steps
-
1Join a room. Tap any room in the hallway/feed to join immediately. All of the rooms in the hallway are rooms you have permission to join.
- If you're new to clubhouse, tap the document icon at the top of the room to read the community guidelines before speaking.
-
2Tap the hand raise icon. If the room is set up to allow people to ask questions or request to speak, you'll see a hand icon at the bottom of the screen. When you raise your hand, you'll be added to the room's Raise Hand queue. If a host or moderator approves your request, you'll immediately join the stage.[1]
- If you don't see this icon, the room is not accepting requests.
-
3Turn off your microphone as soon as you join the stage. Once you are approved to speak, your microphone will be live. This means that as soon as you're brought on stage, people can hear you and your surroundings. It is courteous to mute your mic right away until you're expected to speak. Tapping the microphone icon toggles it on and off.
- Make sure to mute your mic every time you're not speaking.
