This wikiHow teaches you how to quote another person’s message in a Slack channel when you’re on an Android.

Steps

    Open Slack. It’s the icon displaying a black “S” over a multicolored pattern. It’s usually found in the app drawer or on the home screen.

    Tap your user icon. It’s at the top-left corner of the screen.
  3. 3
    Tap the channel containing the message you want to quote.
  4. 4
    Tap and hold the message you want to quote. A pop-up menu will appear.

    Tap Copy link to message. The message is now copied to your Android’s clipboard.

    Tap and hold the message box. It's at the bottom of the screen.
    • You can paste the copied message/quote into a different channel if you wish. Just tap your user icon at the top-left corner of the screen and select a different channel.

    Tap Paste. This pastes the quoted message into the message box.

    Tap the send button. It’s the blue paper airplane at the bottom-right corner of the screen. The quoted message now appears in the channel.
