Cookie Dough
- 1⁄4 cup (59 ml) unsalted butter, room temperature
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) granulated sugar
- 1⁄4 cup (59 ml) light brown sugar, packed
- 1⁄2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) milk or cream
- 1⁄4 teaspoon (1.2 ml) salt
- 1⁄2 cup (120 ml) all-purpose flour
- 1⁄4 cup (59 ml) mini semisweet chocolate chips
Waffles
- 2 cups (470 ml) all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons (9.9 ml) baking powder
- 1 teaspoon (4.9 ml) baking soda
- 1⁄2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) salt
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 2 cups (470 ml) buttermilk
- 1⁄2 cup (120 ml) unsalted butter, melted and cooled
- 1⁄4 cup (59 ml) granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon (4.9 ml) vanilla extract

1Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2Cream the butter and sugar in a large bowl, using an electric mixer, until light and fluffy.
