How to Link Your Email on Wechat

This wikiHow teaches you how to connect an email address to your WeChat account using a smartphone or tablet.

Steps

Open WeChat on your smartphone or tablet. It’s the green icon with two overlapping chat bubbles inside. You’ll usually find it on the iPhone/iPad home screen, or in the app drawer on an Android.

Tap Me. It’s the icon at the bottom-right corner of the screen.

Tap Settings.

Tap Account Security. It’s near the top of the screen.

Tap More Settings. It’s near the bottom of the list.

Tap Email. This launches the “Change Email” screen.

Type your email address into the blank.

Tap Done. It’s at the top-right corner of the screen. WeChat will now send a verification message to that email address.

Open the verification message from WeChat. You’ll have to launch your email app or website to find it.

Tap OK in the message from WeChat. Your email address is now linked to your WeChat account.
