This wikiHow teaches you how to deactivate your account and remove yourself from a Slack workspace, using Android. Deactivating your account in a workspace doesn't affect any other workspaces you belong to.

2Tap the ⋮ icon. This button is in the upper-right corner of your browser window. It will open your browsing options on a drop-down menu.

3Tap Request desktop site on the menu. When this option is selected, your browser will reload the website, and open the desktop version of the same page.
- In some browsers, this option may just be named Desktop site.
- If you skip this step and log in through the mobile website, you won't be able to access and edit your workspace member settings.

4Tap the Sign in option. It's written in blue letters below the blue GET STARTED button on the home page.

5Enter your workspace's URL address. Type or paste your workspace's web link into the URL field.

6Tap the green Continue button. This will prompt you to sign in to the selected workspace with your email and password.

7Sign in with email address and password. Enter your email and password associated with this workspace, and tap the green Sign in button. This will open your workspace in full-screen.

9Tap Profile & account on the drop-down menu. This will open your Workspace Directory panel on the right-hand side of your browser.

10Tap the gear icon below your name. Find the gear icon next to the Edit Profile button on the Workspace Directory panel, and click it to open your settings. This will open your Account Settings page in a new tab.

11Scroll down and tap Deactivate your account. This option will allow you to permanently remove yourself from the workspace.
- If you're the owner of this workspace, you won't see this button here. You have to transfer ownership to another user before you can deactivate.
- If you're prompted to provide your password here, enter your account password and tap Confirm Password.

12Tap the red Yes, deactivate my account. Make sure you understand you can just change your email or username instead of deactivating, and click this button.
- Any other workspaces you belong to will not be affected. Deactivating your account here only removes you from the selected workspace.

13Check the Yes, I want to deactivate my account box. This box confirms you're sure you want to leave this workspace.

14Tap the red Deactivate my account button. This button will confirm your action, and remove your account from this workplace.
