How to Increase Your Character EXP Fast in Genshin Impact

On the Internet, it seems as if everyone in Genshin Impact has overpowered level 90 characters. Having overpowered characters will make playing through the game much easier. In fact, it will save you trouble and difficulty later on. To increase your character's EXP, look for Wanderer's Advice, Adventurer's Experience, and Hero's Wit. This wikiHow will show you a few ways to increase your character EXP fast in Genshin Impact.

Part 1

Part 1 of 3:
Obtaining Character EXP Materials

Defeat enemies. Every time you defeat an enemy, a small amount of character EXP is awarded to your party. While this will be insufficient to level up your characters significantly, it will give your character a good bump in the early ascension phases.

Open chests. Chests can be found across the world of Teyvat. Different chests have different materials depending on the type of chest. Common Chests will have basic materials and maybe Wanderer's Advice, while Precious and Luxurious Chests will have more rare materials and maybe Hero's Wit.

Complete quests. Each quest and commission awards character EXP materials and/or Primogems. Finish all four commissions for a bonus reward. Also, check time-limited events and event shops for character EXP material.

Pursue the Blossom of Revelation. This Ley Line is indicated by a distinct blue orb. When you pursue Ley Lines, you will defeat enemies to earn additional rewards. Defeating the enemies in the Blossom of Revelation will award Adventurer's Experience, which can be used to level up your characters.

Check the in-game shop (accessible by the Paimon menu). In Paimon's Bargains, you can use Stardust and Starglitter to buy character EXP items, including Adventurer's Experience and Hero's Wit. You can also spend real-life money to get Top-Up crystals which can also be used to obtain items.

Part 2 of 3:
Leveling Up

Open the character menu. This can be done by pressing the "C" key on Windows or by clicking on the character button from the top toolbar.

Select the character to invest in. Do this from the top toolbar.

Click on Level Up. In the next screen, you will be able to submit materials that can be used to level up.

Input the number of character EXP materials to use to level up. This will also cost a bit of Mora. If you need Mora, you can obtain it through the Blossom of Wealth and by finding burrows for Mora-carrying squirrels. You will see how much your character's level is going to change as well.

Click on Level Up. This will invest character EXP in the current character.
- At some point, your character EXP is going to cap. You will not be able to increase your character level until you ascend your character to the next ascension phase.

Part 3 of 3:
Ascending Characters

Locate character ascension materials. In order to ascend characters, you need different materials. While some items like Noctilucous Jade and Cor Lapis can be found in the overworld, other items require you to spend time in domains revitalizing petrified trees.
- Dandelion seeds can be obtained by using Anemo on the dandelions.
- Flaming flowers can be obtained by using Cryo or Hydro on them.
- Mist flowers can be obtained by using Pyro on them.
- You may have to defeat enemies to obtain the necessary materials. For example, you may have to confront a Ruin Guard to get a Chaos Device or fight an Electro Hypostasis to get Lightning Prisms.

Open the character menu. This can be done by pressing the "C" key on Windows or by clicking on the character button from the top toolbar.

Select the character to invest in. Do this from the top toolbar.

Click on Ascend. This will also cost a bit of Mora. If you need Mora, you can obtain it through the Blossom of Wealth and by finding burrows for Mora-carrying squirrels.

Click on Ascend again. This will ascend the character to the next ascension phase. You will have to ascend at levels 20, 40, 50, 60, 70, and 80. After reaching level 90, your character EXP will cap.
