Community Q&A

QuestionIs there a way to ignore comments from a user?
MateagCommunity AnswerThere is an option to "snooze" or "mute" a Facebook user for 30 days. That way, the user will not show up in your Feed, and neither will their comments. After the 30 days have passed you will be notified and you can extend the option. Furthermore, if you want the user to be unable to comment on your posts, you can restrict their access in your Privacy Settings. -
QuestionHow can I ignore messages I already accepted without blocking?
Tom De BackerTop AnswererYou can use the mute option. Conversations have the option to mute this conversation for 10 minutes, an hour, or a day. Also, you can simply ignore them. Let them write, mark what they wrote as read by quickly opening the chat, but do not write anything back, no matter what they are saying. If you unfollow someone, their posts also don't appear on your timeline anymore, which is different from outright blocking them.
Warnings
- People can usually figure out that you've blocked them if they interact with you regularly or you share enough friends. Thanks!
