In Pokémon Sun and Moon, Cosmog is a Psychic-type legendary Pokémon that evolves twice, the final time into either Solgaleo or Lunala, depending on whether you have Sun or Moon. While playing the game, you'll see a Cosmog travelling with Lillie which has a major impact on the plot of the game. Eventually, you'll be able to get one of your own, which this article will explain how to do.

Steps

  1. 1
Catch Solgaleo or Lunala, depending on whether you have Pokémon Sun or Pokémon Moon. You get Solgaleo in Pokémon Sun, and Lunala in Pokémon Moon. This event happens after you complete the games' final trial.
  2. 2
Defeat the Elite Four and Champion. If it's your first time doing so, you'll be treated to a long cutscene that includes a fight with Tapu Koko, where you can catch it, before the credits.
  3. 3
Put Solgaleo or Lunala in your party, if you don't already have it in your party.
  4. 4
Know that this step varies slightly, depending on which game version you have. If you're playing Pokémon Sun, go to the Altar of the Sunne during the nighttime. If you're playing Pokémon Moon, go to the Altar of the Moone during the daytime. Either way, once you're there, go through the rift to appear at either the Altar of the Munne in Pokémon Sun or the Altar of the Sunne in Pokémon Moon. The fastest way to make it there is to use the Charizard Glide.
  5. 5
Go to the Lake of the Sunne if you’re playing Pokémon Sun, or the Lake of the Moone if you’re playing Pokémon Moon. Once you're there, you'll see a cutscene where a Cosmog appears. After the cutscene ends, go up to the Cosmog and press A to get your very own Cosmog.

    Community Answer
The Lake of the Moone is located on Ula'ula Island. At the north end of Ula'ula meadow, instead of going north to Route 17, take a right. After going through a patch of grass or two, you will arrive at the Lake of the Moone. Keep in mind that if you are in the normal world, it will be in the same place, but called the Altar of the Sunne.
