This wikiHow teaches you how to copy and look up the direct URL link of a Facebook post, using Android.

Steps

  1. 1
Open the Facebook app on your Android. The Facebook icon looks like a white "f" in a blue box. You can find it on your Apps menu.
  2. 2
Find the post you want to look up. You can copy the URL link of any post from your News Feed, a business page, a group, or a personal profile.
  3. 3
Tap the three-dot icon next to the post. You'll find this button next to the post title in the upper-right corner of the post. It will open your options on a pop-up menu.
  4. 4
Tap Copy Link on the pop-up menu. This will copy the selected post's URL web link to your Android's clipboard. You can now paste the link anywhere.
  5. 5
Open an app where you can paste the copied link. For example, you can open your Notes app, or a text message.
    • Any app that allows you to type text will do. You will only have to paste the copied link into a text field to view it.
  6. 6
Long-press the text field where you want to paste the link. Your text options will pop up on a toolbar.
  7. 7
Tap PASTE on the toolbar. This will paste the copied URL web link into the text field. You can view your Facebook post's URL link here.

The Facebook profile link is a URL link, but not all Facebook URL links are profile links. Some Facebook URL links may lead to posts, videos, or other content.

You can connect to a nearby WiFi (or WLAN) network instead. Turn off Mobile Data on your phone, to prevent accidentally using mobile data.
