This wikiHow teaches you how to delete a direct message you sent with Slack when you're using an Android.

Steps

  1. 1
Open Slack. It’s a blue, orange, pink, and green icon with an “S” inside. You’ll typically find it on the home screen or in the app drawer.
  2. 2
Swipe from left to right. This opens the team’s menu.
  3. 3
Scroll down and select a message. Direct messages appear under the “Direct Messages” header.
  4. 4
Tap and hold the message you want to delete. The selected message must be one you sent to the other person. This slides out a new menu.
  5. 5
Tap Delete message. It’s the option in red at the bottom of the menu. A confirmation message will appear.
    • You can also edit a sent message. Instead of Delete message, tap Edit, then make your desired changes.[1]
  6. 6
Tap Delete. The selected message no longer appears in the conversation.
