Open LINE on your iPhone or iPad. Look for the green icon with a white chat bubble that says “LINE.” It’ll usually be on the home screen.
- Removing a user is permanent and you should only do this if you never want to contact them again with LINE.

Tap the contacts icon. It’s the outline of a person at the bottom-left corner of the screen.

Swipe left on the contact you want to delete. Two options will appear beneath their name.

Select Hide or Block. Since removing someone is permanent, it doesn’t matter which of these options you choose.
- If you don’t want to permanently remove the user, stop here to keep them hidden or blocked (actions that can be undone later). Hide the user if you don’t want to see them in your friends list but still want to be able to receive their messages, or Block them if you don’t want them to be able to contact you.^{[2]

Tap …. It’s at the bottom-right corner of the screen.

Tap the gear icon. It’s at the top-right corner of the screen. This opens your LINE settings.

Scroll down and tap Friends. It’s near the middle of the menu.

Tap Hidden users or Blocked users. The option you select depends on whether your hid or blocked the user.

Tap Edit next to the person’s name. A menu will slide out at the bottom of the screen.

Tap Remove. This user will be permanently removed from both your Hidden Users/Blocked list and your contact list.

Have you tried unhiding the contact and deleting them via your contacts, or from your line app contact itself? If you choose hide and then remove, you're not permanently removing the contact, who can still send you messages.

Your contact is still appearing because you need to block them in order for them to disappear. To block, go to their contact and press "block this caller."
