How to Delete LINE App Contacts on Android

This wikiHow teaches you how to permanently remove a contact from your Friends list on the LINE app, using Android.

Steps

    Open the LINE app on your Android. The LINE app looks like a white speech bubble in a green icon. You can open it from your Apps menu.

    Tap the figurehead icon on the top-left. This button is located next to a speech bubble icon in the upper-left corner of your screen. It will open your Friends list.

    Tap and hold the contact you want to delete. Find the contact you want to remove from your Friends list, and long-press on their name to see your options.

    Tap Block on the pop-up menu. This option will not remove the selected contact from your Friends list yet, but it will block them from messaging or calling you.
    • If you don't want to block this contact, you can select Hide here.

    Tap OK in the confirmation window. This will confirm your action, and block this contact from messaging or calling you.

    Tap ⋮ icon. This button is in the upper-right corner of your screen. It will open a drop-down menu.

    Tap Settings on the drop-down menu. This will open your Friends settings on a new page.

    Tap Blocked users under Manage friends. This will open a list of all the users you've blocked from your Friends list.
    • If you've decided to hide your contact instead of blocking them, open the Hidden users list here.

    Tap the Edit button next to the contact you want to delete. This will open your options on a new pop-up menu.

    Tap Delete on the pop-up menu. This will delete the selected contact, and permanently remove them from your Friends list.
