How to Create a Stacked Bar Chart in Excel on Android

This wikiHow teaches you how to select a data set in an Excel spreadsheet, and make it into a stacked column chart, using Android.

Steps

    Open Excel on your Android. The Excel app looks like a white spreadsheet icon on a green background. You can find it on your Apps menu.

    Tap the spreadsheet file you want to edit. Find the file you want to edit on your Recent or Older files list, and tap on its name to open it.

    Select the data set you want to use in your chart. Make sure to include all your data in your selection to create a correct visual representation in your bar chart.
    • Add your data to the sheet if you haven't done so.
    • Tap a cell to select it.
    • Drag the circle icon on the bottom-right or top-left of the selection.
    • Highlight all the data you want to use.

    Tap the Edit icon at the top. This button looks like an "A" icon with a pencil on it. You can find it on a green toolbar at the top of your screen. It will open your formatting options at the bottom.

    Tap the Home button on the formatting panel. You can find it on the top-left corner of the editing and formatting panel at the bottom of your screen.

    Select Insert on the menu. This will open your Insert options on the formatting panel.

    Scroll down and select Chart on the Insert menu. This will display the different types of charts you can use.

    Select Column on the Chart menu. This will show the different types of column charts you can choose from.

    Select a stacked chart type on the Column menu. Tapping a chart type will automatically take the data you selected, and make it into a stacked bar chart on the sheet.
    • There are a few different stacked bar options here, such as Stacked Column, 100% Stacked Column, and 3D Stacked Column.

    Tap and drag your chart on the sheet. You can move your stacked bar chart around the sheet, and position it wherever you want.

    Tap and drag the chart borders to resize your graph. You can make your chart bigger or smaller by dragging the circles around its outline.
