This wikiHow teaches you how to add a multiple-choice poll to your Facebook event on an Android phone or tablet.

Steps

  1. 1
Open Facebook on your Android. It’s the blue icon with a white “f” inside. You’ll usually find it on the home screen or in the app drawer.
    • You can only add a poll to an event you're hosting. If you're not listed as a host, you cannot add a poll.
  2. 2
Tap the menu. It’s at the top-right corner of the screen.
  3. 3
Tap Events. It’s the orange circle with a white calendar inside.
  4. 4
Tap the HOSTING tab. It’s the third tab at the top of the screen. This displays only the events you’re hosting.
  5. 5
Tap the event. This opens the event page.
  6. 6
Tap Say something…. This opens the “What’s on your mind?” screen, which displays some additional options at the bottom of the screen.
  7. 7
Swipe up on the options at the bottom of the screen. This expands even more options.
  8. 8
Tap Poll. It’s the green icon with a white bar graph inside. It’s one of the options in the list, and you may have to keep scrolling to find it.
  9. 9
Type the question for the poll. This goes into the “Ask your question” area near the top of the screen.
  10. 10
Enter the possible answers. Each answer should go into its own blank (Option 1, Option 2). These are the selections your attendees can choose from.
  11. 11
Select a duration from the “Poll Ends” menu. If you want to close the poll automatically after a certain period of time, make a selection from this menu.
  12. 12
Tap POST. It’s at the top-right corner of the screen. The poll is now posted to the event. Invitees can view it and answer questions until the poll expires.
