How to Craft a Jukebox on Minecraft

Sometimes, the in-game music in Minecraft is not pleasing enough, and you've heard the same songs over and over again. Luckily, the jukebox and music disc feature allows you to have a variety of music to play on Minecraft. Enjoy waiting out the rain listening to your favorite discs instead of taking a nap with this guide.

Preparations

Get the required materials for the jukebox. You will need eight wooden planks and a diamond.

Obtain wooden planks. Convert your logs into wooden planks.
- Any variety of wooden plank will work to craft a jukebox.

Obtain diamonds. Diamonds can be found in naturally generated structures such as villages and mansions. They can also be found in groups of 1-8 below y-level 15.
- Diamonds can be tedious to get, so don't get too frustrated if you are unable to find any.

Making the Jukebox

Craft a crafting table or head to the nearest one.

Place eight wooden planks all around and one diamond in the center. The jukebox should appear and take it and place it in your inventory.

Place the jukebox where you wish.

Obtain a music disc. Music discs can be found in dungeon chests, when a skeleton kills a creeper, or in Bastion Remnants.

Hold the music disc and play it on the jukebox. There are multiple disks and multiple "songs" that you can obtain and play.

Restart your Minecraft client. If that doesn't work, go into your options menu and check out the music. Is jukebox music muted? Is your master volume muted? If so, change it so it plays at the volume you want.

Yes, use an axe. Diamond is faster than wooden, but any axe will do. You can break it with other stuff, but then you won't collect the jukebox.

You may have Disc 11 instead of a different disc. Disc 11 will play an eerie noise, which has caused many disputes in the past on what occurs in the track. If you do have Disc 11, just try to obtain a different disc, as all the other ones actually play music.

On a mobile device, you have to first press your finger along the text you want to copy. You can press "Select All" to highlight all the text, or drag the margins around the highlighted text to make them the appropriate length. You can then press copy. On the Minecraft app, while you're in a command block, you can either hit the paste button above your keyboard, or press your finger on the text line in the command block. This should give you the option to paste the text into the command block.

You cannot craft music discs. The only way to obtain them is when a skeleton kills a creeper, to find them in dungeon chests, or find only Pigstep in bastion remnants.
