This wikiHow teaches you how to delete your search and location history in Google Maps when you’re using a computer.

Steps

  1. 1
Go to https://myactivity.google.com/myactivity in a web browser. You can use any web browser on your Mac or PC, such as Safari or Firefox, to access the My Activity website.
    • If you’re not already signed in to Google, click SIGN IN to do so now.
  2. 2
Click Delete activity by. It’s in the left column.
  3. 3
Click the All products drop-down menu. A menu of Google services will appear.
  4. 4
Scroll down the menu and select Maps. The drop-down menu now says “Maps” instead of “All products.”
  5. 5
Select a time period under “Delete by date.” To clear your entire Maps history, select All time. Otherwise, select your desired dates from the menus.
  6. 6
Click DELETE. It’s at the bottom of the window. A confirmation message will appear.
  7. 7
Click DELETE. Google will now delete your Maps history for the selected time frame.
