This wikiHow teaches you how to upload a new profile photo to Slack using an Android phone or tablet.
Steps
-
1Open Slack. It’s a black “S” on a red, blue, yellow, and green background. You’ll usually find it on the home screen or in the app drawer.
-
2Tap ⁝. It’s at the top-right corner of the screen.
-
3Tap Settings. It’s at the bottom of the menu.
-
4Tap your profile picture. If you haven’t yet set up a profile picture, it’ll be the default image, which just looks like the Slack icon without the “S.”
-
5Tap Choose photo from Gallery. This opens your Android’s photo gallery.
- If you’d prefer to take a new photo right now, tap Take photo, snap a photo, then tap the check mark to set it as your picture.
-
6Tap Allow. If it’s your first time uploading photos from your Android to Slack, you’ll have to give the app permission to access your files.
-
7Tap the photo you want to use. If it’s in a folder, tap that first to open it. This sets the selected image as your Slack profile picture.
