How to Change Your Email on Dropbox on Android

This wikiHow teaches you how to change the email address associated with your Dropbox account when you’re using an Android.

Steps

    Navigate to https://www.dropbox.com in a web browser. The default browser on most Android phones and tablets is Chrome.

    Tap Sign in. It’s at the top-right corner of the screen.

    Enter your login information and tap Sign in. If your Dropbox account is connected to your Google account, tap Sign in with Google instead.

    Tap ⁝. It’s the top-right corner of Chrome.

    Scroll down and tap Request desktop site. The Dropbox site will now reload in a format meant for computers.

    Tap your profile image. It’s near the top-right corner of the Dropbox website. Since you’re in a new viewing mode, you may have to swipe the screen all the way to the left to see it.
    • If you don’t have a picture associated with your account, the generic picture is a smiley face surrounded by a dotted line.

    Tap Edit next to your email address. It’s in the center (main) column.

    Select a password option. If you do not see the “Set Password” window, you can skip this step. Otherwise:
    • Tap I’ve set a password if you have a Dropbox account password.
    • Tap Send email if you signed in with a Google account and have never created a separate Dropbox password. Open the email message from Dropbox, then tap Reset Password to create one now. Once your password is set, return to the Settings screen and tap Edit next to your email address.

    Type the new email address into the first two boxes. The email address must be typed exactly the same in both boxes.
    • If your password is not automatically filled in the bottom blank, enter it now.

    Tap Update email. Your email address is now updated in Dropbox.
