All League of Legends accounts are now Riot Accounts and you may need to update your username. This wikiHow teaches you how to change your League of Legends Account to a Riot Account using a web browser.

Steps

  1. 1
Go to https://update-account.riotgames.com/ in a web browser. You can use a desktop or mobile web browser to change your account information.
  2. 2
Click the red arrow. You'll see this on the right side of the page in the box that details that you might need to change your League of Legends username.
  3. 3
Sign in. Using your LoL (League of Legends) information, sign in. Check or uncheck the box next to "Stay Signed In" if you want to stay signed into this user or switch to another account.
    • Make sure the appropriate region for you is selected in the drop-down box under your password.
  4. 4
Change your username (if prompted). If your username is unique enough, you will not need to change it and you're done.
    • If you need to change your username, consider using an alpha-numeric combination, as that might be more widely available.[1]
    • This is not the same as your Summoner name, which is seen publicly. Your username is private and visible only to you.[2]
