How to Breed a Gold Dragon in DragonVale

A "treasure element" in the game DragonVale, the gold dragon is colored mostly gold with some red features. It's a highly sought after dragon to include in your park.

Steps

Go to your breeding cave or the epic breeding island.

Pair two basic dragons. Pair a metal dragon with a fire dragon, both above level 7. You can also use many combinations of hybrids which contain the elements of both fire and metal. A list of possible combinations is provided just below.
- You will need to be at level 17 in the game if using a metal dragon.
- The metal and fire dragon combination seems to work best in the epic breeding island.

Wait for 48 hours. This is the required breeding time.
- Breeding time can be hastened by spending gems.

If successful, you'll get a completely golden egg. Place the egg in the dragon nursery to incubate. Wait another 48 hours for it to hatch.

Place the gold dragon in a treasure habitat. To help it grow, feed it the same food as all baby dragons.

You can buy it with money, (not recommended). You can watch an ad for 1 free gem. This is a good idea. You can wait until you get gems as a gift in DragonVale - this gives you 25 gems. But be warned, you have to wait a very long time to get this.
