    Select Battery saving as your locating method. This will disable your GPS signal in location tracking. Your Galaxy will only use Wi-Fi and cellular networks to determine your location.

Turning Off Cell Service

    Open your Galaxy's Quick Settings panel. Swipe down the notifications bar from the top of your screen to view your menu options.

    Find the Airplane Mode on the menu. This is usually an airplane icon in Quick Settings. It will be dimmed out when it's turned off.
    • If you can’t find the icon, you may have to swipe down the Notifications panel to view more options.

    Tap the Airplane Mode icon. This will turn on airplane mode on your Galaxy. It will block your cellular connection with your mobile provider, and make it more difficult to determine your location via cell signal.
    • You can't make or receive calls or messages in airplane mode. If somebody calls you, your phone will appear as turned off.
