How to Block Ads on Chrome for Android

This wikiHow teaches you how to set Google Chrome to automatically block pop-ups and intrusive ads on all the websites you visit, using Android.

Steps

    Open Chrome on your Android. Find and tap the

    icon on your home screen or Apps menu to open your browser.

    Tap the ⋮ icon on the top-right. It will open a drop-down menu.

    Tap Settings on the drop-down menu. This will open your browser settings on a new page.

    Scroll down and tap Site settings. You can find it under the "Advanced" heading on the Settings menu.
    • Make sure it says "All sites" at the top of the Site settings page. This will apply your settings to all the websites you visit.

    Scroll down and tap Pop-ups and redirects. This option will allow you to automatically block websites from showing pop-up ads.

    Slide the Pop-ups and redirects switch to

    .     When this option is turned off, Chrome will block all the websites you visit from showing pop-up ads on your screen.

    icon on the top-left.     This will take you back to the Site settings page.

    Tap Ads in Site settings. This option is located right below "Pop-ups and redirects" on the same menu. You can enable or disable website ads here.

    Slide the Ads switch to

    .     When this option is turned off, Chrome will automatically block and remove intrusive ads from the websites you visit.
    • You may still come across some non-intrusive ads on a few websites.
