Most modern phones have a flashlight built-in that uses the flash from the camera. This wikiHow will teach you how to adjust the brightness of the flashlight on a Samsung Galaxy S9. Since most Samsung devices are similar, you can use this method for almost any Samsung phone or tablet.

Steps

  1. 1
Swipe down from the top of your screen. This will open the Quick Settings panel.
  2. 2
Swipe down again to expand the menu. Instead of just seeing a row of four icons, you'll also see their labels as well as additional rows.
  3. 3
Tap on the word Flashlight. If you tap on the icon, your flashlight will turn on.
  4. 4
Drag the slider under "Brightness" to adjust the intensity of the light. You can adjust the light from 1, a pretty dim flashlight, to 5, an extremely bright light.
  5. 5
Tap Done. This will save your flashlight settings and apply them to the next time you use the flashlight.[1]
