How to Add a Table to Notes on iPhone or iPad

This wikiHow teaches you how to change the paper type for handwriting on the Notes app on an iPhone or iPad. This feature requires iOS 11 or later. If you don't see the features below, you may need to update your iPhone's or iPad's operating system to iOS 11 if you haven't already done so.

Steps

Open Notes
. It's the yellow icon that resembles a yellow notepad and is usually located on your home screen.

Tap
. It's the yellow icon in the bottom-right of the screen that looks like a pencil writing on paper.

Tap
. It's the gray button with a white plus sign in the middle on the right-side of the screen, above the keyboard. This opens the note toolbar.

Tap the
. It's the grid-shaped icon in the bottom-left of the screen. This will place a 2 x 2 table in your note.

Tap ⋮ or ⋯. Tap the 3-dot button to the left of the table to adjust the rows and tap the 3-dot button above the table to adjust the columns. This opens a pop-up menu above the button.

Tap Add or Delete a row or column. Add or delete rows or columns to customize your table.
