How to Add a Phone Number on Facebook on Android

Steps

    Open Facebook. It’s a blue icon with a white “f.” You'll usually find it on your home screen or in the app drawer.

    Tap ☰. It’s in the white bar near the top-right corner of the screen.

    Tap Settings. It’s near the bottom of the screen.

    Tap Account Settings.

    Tap Text Messaging. You may have to scroll down to see it.

    Type your phone number.
    • The country code will fill automatically just above the blank. If it’s incorrect, click Change to select the right country.

    Tap Add Number. Facebook will now send you a text message containing a 6-digit code. Also, a confirmation window will appear.

    Type the code into the confirmation window. You’ll need to open the text message from Facebook to get the code.
    • If you haven’t received the code after a few moments, tap Send Code Again.

    Tap Confirm. A confirmation message will appear once the code is verified.

    Tap Close. Your phone number is now linked to Facebook.
