This wikiHow teaches you how to add a custom text box to a video clip as a title card, using Android. You will have to download and install a free, third-party video editing software from the Play Store.

1Download and install the FilmoraGo app from the Play Store. Tap the icon to open the Play Store, search FilmoraGo, and tap INSTALL to download it on your phone or tablet.

2Open the FilmoraGo app on your Android. Tap the green OPEN button on the download page, or find and tap the app icon on your Apps menu.
- When you first open the app, you will have to agree to Filmora's Privacy Policy. Tap AGREE to proceed.

3Tap the CREATE NEW VIDEO button. It looks like a "+" icon in the middle of the screen.

4Select the video you want to edit. You can select any video clip from your Android's gallery here.

5Trim your video (optional). Use the timeline handles to select what part of the video you want to use. You can include the entire clip, or select a small portion here.
- Tap Add when you're done trimming.

6Scroll down the right panel and tap Edit Tools. This will open a toolbar at the bottom of your screen.

7Swipe through the bottom options and tap Titles. This will open a list of available text styles you can use.

8Tap the text style you want to use. Tapping a style here will add a text box on your video.

9Tap the placeholder text box on your video. The placeholder text reads "TAP TO ADD TITLE."

10Enter your own text into the text box. Your text will appear in your selected title style.
- Tap OKAY on the top-right to save your title text.

11Tap SAVE on the top-right. It looks like an orange disk icon in the upper-right corner of your screen. This will save your video with the new title card on it.
- You can select Save to Camera Roll or Save to Gallery to save a copy to your Android's Gallery app.

1Open the FilmoraGo app on your Android. Find and tap the Filmora icon on your Apps menu to open the app.
- If you don't already have FilmoraGo installed, you can download it from the Google Play Store.

2Tap CREATE NEW VIDEO. This button looks like a "+" icon in the middle of your screen.

3Select the video you want to edit. You can select any of your saved videos from your Android's gallery.

4Scroll down the right panel and tap Edit Tools. This will open the editing toolbar at the bottom of your screen.

5Swipe through the bottom options and tap Subtitle. This option will allow you to add a text box on your video, and customize it however you want.

6Tap the red + button on the bottom-left. This will create a new text box on your video, and list the available subtitle animations on the left sidebar.

7Tap the text box on the video. This will allow you to enter your own text.
- If you want to edit your text again, just tap on the text box.

8Enter your own text into the text box. Your text will replace the placeholder text on the video.

9Tap the Font tab above your keyboard. This will open a list of all the available fonts you can use.
- Tap a font here to use it on your text.

10Select a text alignment position on the bottom-left. Use the alignment icons in the lower-left corner of your screen to center your text, or justify it to either side.

11Tap the Color tab above your keyboard. This will open a list of colors you can apply to your text.

12Tap the color you want to use. Swipe through the color options at the bottom of your screen, and tap a color to see how it looks with your text.

13Tap OKAY on the top-right. This will save your changes, and add your text into the text box on your video.

14Tap and drag the text box to move it around. You can move the text box anywhere on the video.
- If you don't like the way your text looks, you can remove the text box by tapping the blue "X" button on your text's top-left corner.

15Drag the two-arrows icon at the bottom of your textbox. You can drag it in and out to make your text bigger or smaller on the screen.

16Select an animation from the left sidebar. Tap one of the subtitle animations on the left sidebar to preview it on your text.
- If you don't want any animations, select NONE here.

17Tap OKAY on the top-right. This will save your text on the video project.
- Tap OKAY again to save all your edits to your project.

18Tap SAVE on the top-right. It looks like an orange disk icon in the upper-right corner. This will allow you to save your video with your new text box on it.
- Select Save to Camera Roll or Save to Gallery to save a copy to your Gallery app.
