How to Activate Tile on iPhone or iPad

This wikiHow teaches you how to set up your Tile Mate, Tile Sport, Tile Style, Tile Original, or Tile Slim for use with an iPhone or iPad.

Part 1 of 3:
Install Tile from the App Store

Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad
. You'll usually find it on the home screen.

Tap Search. It's at the bottom-right corner of the screen.

Type tile into the search bar and press Search.

Tap Tile – Find lost keys & phone. The app's homepage will appear.

Tap GET.

Enter your passcode or use Touch ID. The Tile app will now download to your phone or tablet. Once the app is installed, the ″GET″ button will change to ″OPEN.″
- You may also be prompted to sign into the App Store and tap Install. Follow the on-screen instructions, if so.

Create an Account

Open Tile. It's the white icon that says ″tile″ inside. You should find it on the home screen.

Tap Sign Up.

Enter your email address and create a password. This password is what you'll use to sign in to your account. It must be at least 7 characters long.^{[1]

Allow Bluetooth and Location Access. Tap each options to enable them both.

Adding the Tile

Open Tile. It's the white icon that says ″tile″ inside. You should find it on the home screen.

Tap Tile. A list of Tile models will appear.

Tap the Tile you want to set up. A photo of each model appears beside its name to make it easy to determine which one you have.

Press the Tile logo on your Tile. Hold it down until you hear a confirmation tone. Once you hear the tone, lift your finger.

Hold the Tile next to your iPhone or iPad. Once the Tile is activated, you'll see a confirmation message on the screen. A list of categories will appear.

Tap the category that best fits your use for Tile. For example, if you'll be using this Tile to keep track of your keys, select Keys. Your tile is now ready to use.

Tap Find to test out your Tile. The Tile will ring once the connection is made.
