Twitter is one of the most popular social media websites today. What separates Twitter from its competitors is its tweet-and-follow style of sharing. Basically, you post a short, 280-character message called a tweet from your account, visible to those who follow you. If you’ve just started using Twitter, one of the first important stuff you need to learn is to how to accept your followers on Twitter.

1Visit Twitter. Open a web browser on your computer and visit the Twitter website.

2Log into your account. Enter your username, or email address, and password on the text fields provided and click on “Log In” to sign into your account.
- If you don’t have a Twitter account yet, simply click the “Sign Up Now” link and enter your full name, email address, desired username for your Twitter account, and a password to instantly create an account.

3Check for follower requests. You’ll be directed immediately to your account’s home page after you signed in. If other people have requested to follow you, you’ll see a button on the left menu panel labeled “New Follower Requests.” Click this button to see the list of new follower requests sent to you.

4Accept followers. To accept new followers, simply click the “Accept” button on one of the requests displayed on the list. Once accepted, that follower can now get updates on new tweets you posts.
- If you want to reject a request, simply click “Decline” to delete the request from your Twitter account.

1Open the Twitter mobile app. Tap the blue bird icon from the application screen of your smartphone or tablet to launch the application.

5Accept followers. Tap the checkmark button on one of the requests displayed on the list to accept a request. Once accepted, that follower can now get updates on new tweets you posts.
- If you want to reject a request, simply tap the “X” button to delete the request from your Twitter account.
