How to Verify a Student Account on Spotify on iPhone or iPad

This wikiHow teaches you how to fill out and submit Spotify's student verification form in order to get your student discount account verified, using an iPhone or iPad.

Steps

Open Safari on your iPhone or iPad. You will have to use your mobile internet browser in order to verify your student account.
- Alternatively, you can use any other browser like Firefox, Chrome or Opera.

Go to Spotify's student verification page in your browser. Type https://spotify.sheerid.com into your browser's address bar, and press the blue Go button on your keyboard.

Enter your personal information into the verification form. You will need to enter your email address, full name, college, and date of birth.
- Make sure to enter the email address associated with your Spotify account.
- Optionally, you can enter your phone number to receive an SMS/text confirmation of your verification status.

Tap the Next Step button. This is a green button at the bottom of the page. It will submit your personal information, and take you to the document upload page.

Scroll down and tap the Choose File button. You can upload your student documentation as a .jpg, .png, .pdf, .gif, or .bmp file. It will open a list of file locations you can upload from.
- Your student documentation must include your full name, an issue date within the last 3 months, and the full name of your current college or university.

Select the file source you want to upload documentation from.
- Tap Take Photo or Video to take a picture of a hard copy document you have.
- Tap Photo Library to upload a picture from your gallery.
- Tap Browse to upload a picture or file from iCloud Drive.

Select the file you want to upload. Tapping a picture or file will attach it to your verification form.
- If you want to upload more files, tap Add another file below the Choose File button.

Tap the green Upload Document button. It's at at the bottom of the upload form. This will submit your student verification form. You will receive an email response as soon as your verification request is processed.
