Podcasts are perfect for long car rides, relaxing on the couch, or staying entertained while you clean the house. If you haven’t jumped on the podcast bandwagon, you’re missing out! In the past couple years, Spotify has taken over the podcasting sphere. The media company recently signed exclusive streaming deals with some of the biggest names in podcasting, including Joe Rogan[1] , Armchair Expert[2] , and Call Her Daddy.[3] In this article, we’ll check out ways to find and listen to podcasts on Spotify mobile using the app's new features.

Method 1
Method 1 of 8:
Opening Spotify

  1. 1
Open Spotify and tap “Search”. The Spotify app can be found on the home screen of your phone or tablet.
    • After opening the app, the “Search” button is in the bottom middle of your screen.
    • From there, you’ll be taken to a new screen with a lot of different categories, and under the “Browse all” heading, you should see a “Podcasts” button with an orange background. This is where you’ll start finding your new favorite shows.

Method 2
Method 2 of 8:
Finding Podcasts

Method 3
Method 3 of 8:
Picking a Podcast Category

  1. 1
Pick a category. If you’ve picked a general category, Spotify will present you with “Fresh Finds”, which are up-and-coming podcasts in that category, as well as “Popular Podcasts”, which lists podcasts in that category by their position on the charts.
    • If you’re looking for more specific recommendations, consider diving into niches like “True Crime” or “Comedy”.
    • For true crime fans, there are great options like Crime Junkie, or for comedy lovers, there’s The Tiny Meat Gang Podcast by comedy duo Cody Ko and Noel Miller. No matter what genre you like, there is a podcast out there for you.

Method 5
Method 5 of 8:
Saving a Podcast

  1. 1
Click on “Your Library”. The “Your Library” button can be found in the bottom right of your screen.
    • You can now get to the podcast you saved one of two ways—through the default “Recently added” view (it should be directly under “Liked Songs” and “New Episodes”), or by tapping the “Podcasts & Shows” category at the top right of your screen, then clicking the podcast.

Method 6
Method 6 of 8:
Adding a Podcast to "Your Episodes"

  1. 1
Add podcast episodes to “Your Episodes”. Podcast episodes can be saved by clicking the plus sign in the bottom left under the description of each episode.
    • With this feature, you can save podcasts before a road trip, create a custom mix, or simply play episodes in the right order (pro-tip: if you want to start from the beginning of a podcast series, save your episodes from most to least recent and they’ll play from oldest to newest).

Method 8
Method 8 of 8:
Finding the "New Episodes" Podcast Playlist

  1. 1
Check out the “New Episodes” playlist at the top of “Your Library”. This playlist automatically updates with each new, unplayed episode from podcasts you’ve saved, making sure you stay up-to-date and putting everything together for you in one convenient place.
    • Follow your favorite creators on social media. Often, when they release a new podcast episode, they’ll announce it on their story, in a post, or by uploading a short clip.
