This wikiHow teaches you how to check for a logical value (such as true or false) in Excel using the ISLOGICAL function.

Steps

    Open Microsoft Excel. If you're using Windows, you'll find it in the Windows menu under “Microsoft Office.” If you have a Mac, you'll find it in the Applications folder.

    Open the spreadsheet that contains your data. To do this, press Ctrl+O (Windows) or Cmd+O (macOS), then double-click the spreadsheet file.

    Double-click the cell where you want to place the function.

    Type =IS. A list of suggested functions will appear.

    Double-click ISLOGICAL. The function should now appear in the cell.

    Click the cell with the value you wish to use. This pastes the cell's coordinates into the cell with the function.
