This wikiHow teaches you how to upload a file to a Slack channel using the Android app.

Steps

    Open Slack on your Android. It’s the multicolored icon with a black “S” inside. You’ll usually find it on the home screen or in the app drawer.

    Tap the channel where you want to add the file.

    Tap the file icon. It looks like a piece of paper with a paperclip at its top-left corner. It’s in the message box at the bottom of Slack.
    • If you’ve uploaded files before, they’ll appear at the bottom of the screen.

    Tap UPLOAD FILE. The “Open From” menu will appear.

    Navigate to the file you want to upload. You can upload files that are saved to your Android by tapping one of the folders in the menu. If the file is saved to your Google Drive, tap Drive to find it.

    Tap the file. It’s icon will appear in message box.

    Tap the paper airplane icon. It’s at the bottom-right corner of Slack. The file will upload to the channel immediately.
