    Tap the search bar at the top. The search bar is labeled Google Play at the top of your screen.

    Search Chromecast in Google Play. Enter the name of the app into the search field, and hit the search button on your keyboard. This will open a new page, and list all the matching results.

    Tap the Google Home app in the search results. This will open the app details on a new page.
    • You can set up and control your Chromecast with the Google Home app.
    • Chromecast doesn't have a dedicated, separate app on the Play Store anymore.

    Tap the green UPDATE button. This will download and install the latest software update for the Google Home app. You can now control your Chromecast from this app.
