This wikiHow will teach you how to unmatch someone on Tinder using the mobile app for Android and iOS. When you unmatch someone, they won't be able to talk to you and they are removed from your profile.

Steps

  1. 1
Open Tinder. This app icon looks like a red/orange flame. You can find this app on the Home screen, in the app drawer, or by searching.
    • Log in if prompted.
  2. 2
Tap the messages icon. It's the icon that looks like two speech bubbles that you'll find at the bottom of your screen.
    • All your conversations will display.
  3. 3
Tap to select the user you want to unmatch. You'll see your conversation with that user load.
  4. 4
Tap the shield icon. It's in the top right corner of the app and will prompt the "Safety Toolkit" window to open at the bottom of your screen.
  5. 5
Tap Unmatch Only. If you want to report the user as well, tap Report & Unmatch instead.
  6. 6
Tap Yes, Unmatch. That user will be unmatched immediately and you won't be able to contact them.[1]
