How to Uninstall Twitch on PC or Mac

This wikiHow teaches you how to permanently delete the Twitch app from your computer. Twitch is a software that allows live streaming and recording, typically used for gaming purposes. This will instantly remove all of the app's contents from your computer.

Method 1

Using Windows

Right-click the Start
menu. You can find this button in the lower-left corner of your screen. Right-clicking will open a pop-up menu of your options.

Click Control Panel on the right-click menu. This will open your Control Panel in a new window.

Click Programs and Features. This option looks like a CD icon in front of a box. It will open a list of all your programs.
- If you're in Category mode, click Uninstall a Program under the "Programs" heading.

Scroll down and click Twitch on the list. The entry will display the Twitch icon.

Click Uninstall at the top. You can find this button below the "Uninstall or change a program" heading at the top of the list. It will open the uninstallation wizard.
- Alternatively, you can right-click Twitch on the list, and select Uninstall on the right-click menu.
- You may need to grant admin access in order to uninstall the software. If a window appears asking this, click Yes.

Follow the prompts in the uninstall window. Windows will uninstall the Twitch app from your computer. You will see a message saying the uninstall is complete when you're finished.

Using Mac

Open your Applications folder. Your Applications folder looks like an "A" icon on a blue folder. You can find it on the Dock at the bottom of your screen.
- Alternatively, you can click
  on the Dock, and press ⌘ Command+⇧ Shift+A on your keyboard. This will also open your Applications window.

Find the Twitch app in Applications. The Twitch icon looks like a purple " `` " icon inside a speech bubble.

Drag and drop the Twitch icon to the Trash bin on the Dock. Your Trash bin is located on the right-hand side of the Dock at the bottom. This will move the Twitch app to trash.

Click the Trash bin icon on the Dock. This will open its contents in a new window.

Right-click Twitch in the Trash bin. Your options will pop up on a drop-down menu.

Select Delete Immediately on the right-click menu. You'll be asked to confirm your action in a new pop-up window.

Click OK in the pop-up. This will confirm your action, and instantly delete the Twitch app from your computer.
- Alternatively, you can right-click the Trash bin on the Dock, and select Empty Trash to delete everything in your trash.
